Stallwache
Best craft cocktails in town? Check. An awe-inspiring industrial setting? Check. Based in the middle of subculture Plagwitz? Check.

Head to this extraordinary bar, hidden behind large glass windows and steel, for highly unusual cocktails made from the finest spirits from select producers. The man behind the bar, Frank Förster has created a 46-page drinks menu, highlights of which include the “Havana Fish House Punch” and the “Schimmelreiter”. There are also regular events at the bar, such as concerts, readings, and our favourite—tastings. This is perfect place if you want to enjoy views of Leipzig-Plagwitz—the bar towers over the entrance area of a former industrial hall—while you sip on a craft cocktail in an industrial setting.
As the Stallwache is run by a liquor importer, the bar is filled with rare spirits that also inform the creative cocktail menu. The team regularly goes on the road to visit small producers and taste interesting liquors. In addition to remarkable interpretations of well-known classics and new creations, the bartenders encourage patrons to order whatever their hearts desire, such as a French 75.
